Cat Menace Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

None. Cat Menace does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal or browsing data. It does not track the pages you visit, your activity, or any identifiable information.

2. Data stored on your device

The only data Cat Menace stores is your own preferences, saved locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local:

• Whether the cat is turned on or off.
• The delay you set before the cat starts moving.
• The list of sites you chose to exclude.
• A local count of how many items the cat has knocked off.

This information never leaves your device and is not shared with us or anyone else.

3. Network and third parties

Cat Menace makes no network requests. It contains no analytics, no trackers, no advertising, and no remote code. It does not transfer user data to any third party.

4. Permissions

• storage — to remember your settings on your device, as described above.
• activeTab — used only when you open the popup, so it can read the current site's name (to let you exclude it) and reload the current tab to tidy the page.
• Host access (all sites) — required so the cat can appear on whatever page you are viewing. Page content is never read or transmitted; the cat only draws an overlay and visually moves elements, which a page reload undoes.

5. Children's privacy

Because Cat Menace collects no data at all, it does not knowingly collect information from children or anyone else.

6. Removing your data

Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored settings. There is nothing stored on our side to delete.
