Master your cat care routines. Whether you're setting up your first household or transferring ownership, these guides help you get the most out of Cat360.
Household Management
Inviting Members
Share care duties with family or sitters:
- 1. Go to Settings > Household.
- 2. Tap Invite Member to generate a unique 6-digit code.
- 3. Share the code. It expires in 24 hours.
Joining a Household
If you received an invite code:
- 1. In the Home screen, tap your avatar/profile.
- 2. Select Switch Household.
- 3. Tap Join with Code and enter your invite.
Member Roles
- Owner: Full control, billing management, deletions.
- Co-caregiver: Can edit all cat logs and tasks.
- Sitter: Focused daily access for tasks and history.
Cat Records & Care
Logging a Daily Round
The best way to track long-term health:
- 1. Tap the Log Daily Round button on the Home screen.
- 2. Enter appetite, water, stool, and mood.
- 3. These entries power your Wellness Score for early detection.
Managing Cat Profiles
Keep your records up to date:
- 1. Tap on your cat's avatar to open the Profile.
- 2. Tap Edit to update breed, weight, medical conditions, or photo.
- 3. For deeper administrative records, visit the Cat Vault.
Transferring a Cat
Moving a cat between households:
Note: Cat transfers maintain history but require both households to be in the same billing region.
- 1. Go to Settings > Household > Transfers.
- 2. Select Initiate Transfer and choose the cat.
- 3. Enter the email address of the recipient (they must be an Owner of their household).
Invite a Sitter
Send the Invite
Give a sitter temporary access in seconds:
- 1. Go to Settings → Household → Members.
- 2. Tap Invite Member.
- 3. Choose the Sitter role before generating the code.
- 4. A unique 6-digit code is created — share it with your sitter. It expires in 24 hours.
What Sitters Can Do
- ✓ View all cats and their daily logs.
- ✓ Complete and check off tasks for the day.
- ✓ Log meals, water, and mood observations.
- ✗ Cannot edit cat profiles, billing, or household settings.
Removing a Sitter
After the visit, remove them in one tap:
- 1. Go to Settings → Household → Members.
- 2. Tap the sitter's name.
- 3. Select Remove from Household. They lose access immediately.
Tip: Sitters get a condensed view of the app — just the tasks and cats, no settings noise. Perfect for a clean handoff.
Manage Your Cats
Adding a New Cat
- 1. From the Home screen, tap the + Add Cat button.
- 2. Enter name, breed, birthday, and upload a photo.
- 3. Set any known medical conditions — this helps the Wellness Score calibrate accurately.
- 4. Tap Save. The cat is now active in your household.
Switching Between Cats
If you have multiple cats, swipe left/right on the Home screen to switch, or tap the cat's avatar in the header to pick from the full list.
Editing a Cat Profile
- 1. Tap your cat's avatar to open their Profile.
- 2. Tap Edit (pencil icon, top right).
- 3. Update weight, photo, diet notes, or medical info.
- 4. For vaccination records and vet documents, open the Cat Vault tab inside the profile.
Archiving vs. Removing
If a cat has passed or left the household, go to Settings → Household → Cats, tap the cat, and choose Archive. History is preserved. Removal is permanent.
Managing Household & Members
Understanding Member Roles
- Owner — Full control: invite/remove members, manage billing, delete cats or the household. Only one Owner per household.
- Co-caregiver — Can log all cat data, edit profiles, and manage tasks. Cannot change billing or remove others.
- Sitter — Focused access: daily tasks and logs only. Cannot edit profiles or settings.
Changing a Member's Role
- 1. Go to Settings → Household → Members.
- 2. Tap the member's name.
- 3. Tap Change Role and select the new role.
- 4. Confirm. The change is instant — they'll see the updated view on next app open.
Removing a Member
- 1. Go to Settings → Household → Members.
- 2. Tap the member's name.
- 3. Select Remove from Household.
- 4. Their logs are retained, but they lose all access immediately.
Transferring Ownership
Go to Settings → Household, tap a Co-caregiver, then select Make Owner. You'll be downgraded to Co-caregiver automatically. Useful before account deletion or handing off to a partner.
Leaving a Household
Go to Settings → Household → Leave Household. If you're the Owner, you must transfer ownership first. Your personal account stays active — you can join or create a new household anytime.
How Many Members Can Join?
Free households support up to 2 members. With a Pro subscription, you can add unlimited Co-caregivers and Sitters — ideal for large families or multiple sitters across the year.
Common Questions
My daily tasks aren't resetting?
Recurring tasks reset at midnight based on your device's timezone. If you travel or change timezones, refresh the app once to sync the new reset time.
How do I request a data export?
You can view your full history in the app's History tab. For a raw machine-readable export, please email support@cat360.app from your registered address.
Transferring Household Ownership
If you need to move the "Owner" status to another member, go to Settings > Household, select the member, and tap Make Owner. You will be downgraded to a Co-caregiver.
Account Deletion
Navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Account. All household data where you are the sole owner will be permanently removed. Shared households will stay active for other members but your individual records will be erased.
